SDA – Specialist Disability Accommodation
Specialist housing designed for people with high physical support needs.
What is SDA – Specialist Disability Accommodation?
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provides purpose-built housing for NDIS participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA properties are specially designed with accessibility features, assistive technology, and layouts that reduce the need for human assistance.
Aurion Lifecare works with SDA providers to help participants access appropriate housing that matches their NDIS plan and support needs. We assist with navigating SDA applications, eligibility assessments, and the transition process.
SDA is separate from day-to-day supports — living in SDA does not automatically include Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, though these are often combined.
